What can I say? It's MGM -- there's a LOT of corpses to deal with on any given day. And if the NBA is in town, or an MMA fight, or even the rodeo, the corpses pile up like cordwood.

More problems with rich douchebags pretending to be richer than they are in Vegas then crime. I hate how everyone thinks they are a celeb in Vegas.

This question is why I hate and never watch CSI. It makes the mainstream public believe LV is home to the most gruesome murders imaginable. Actually, I don't think our criminals could ever be that creative. OP, yes we have crime, but no, it's not like it shows on CSI.

If you think about it, the only crime in Vegas is on the show, so that's one bad incident a week, maybe two if it is sweeps. The crime and filming wraps up in the winter.

Funny you should mention that. I was detoured around a corpse this morning on my way to work. The Sahara and Eastern thing. Figures, a pedestrian finally uses a crosswalk and some idiot runs a red light.

I don't watch CSI since it isn't even filmed in Las Vegas for the most part, and is kind of yucky to watch, but if you think the crimes on TV are made up, they are actually taken from real life a lot of the time. We've had some bizarre stuff happen here. And it seems like everyday the news starts out with a few murders, then pedestrian accidents before the first commercial. On my way to get coffee this morning I heard on the radio there had just been a drive-by less than two miles from my house, and I live in a nice part of town.

But from what I have seen of the stats, crime here is about the same as any other city of two million people. Maybe even less, since our population increases by an average 109,000 tourists daily.

Las Vegas is extraordinarily dangerous - even worse than people think. I've shot three people in the last 6 months for attempting to assault me. Well, maybe they were just beggars - but better safe than sorry.

You think that's bad I get offered a 2 for 1 shot coupon every time I go watch Monday night football at a casino.
