So I am very interested in living at Desert Shores right near the lake. Can anybody that lives there give me pros and cons of that area? My budget is around 500k. Thanks!

500K will get you on the lake in a smaller home outside of the higher end tracts. It will get you into the higher end tracts with a pool but not on the lake. The Lake Front in the better tracts will run over $700K.

Desert Shores is pretty nice and well maintained with good walking tracks and access to the community pool and the lakes. 500k Homes are very nice.

LVOC question, How much do homes on the lake go for? It seems like those will eventually become generational home IMO.

I would think from around $300K to as much as 2 million. Right now there are two...one at $950K and one at $750K. The last year the biggest sale of lake front was around 600K. The last sale above a million was in 2011. Five or Six sold last year. A few more the year before. I think there is a lot of people hanging in there waiting to see how high they will climb.
