I have an affliction in my eyes that causes multiple rapidly flashing lights to greatly affect me. Not all of them do so, only if they are fast and not in sync. It takes something excessively annoying that only comes around every few years.

I have a neighbor that for whatever reason has decided that covering his house in flashing Christmas lights that go off in random patterns is a great idea. I have to wear sunglasses when I go outside at night when the house is lit up, which is incredibly dangerous when trying to back out of the driveway in the dark.

I am going to ask them nicely to do something about it but wanted to see what I have on my side if they decide they even have the right to have their public nuisance in unincorporated Clark within Summerlin. I would appreciate any help and thank you in advance.

Why not back into the drive way? It's that time of the year. I would be surprised if they changed this year as the lights are probably up already but maybe next year. Good luck.

Start a petition. I bet you're not the only person on your street that dislikes those stupid lights. I would.

I doubt there is a Christmas ordinance. Let it go. People in Vegas complain about anything and everything. No wonder neighbors don't get along.

Then why do you come to Las Vegas AT ALL? This is the Mecca for flashy lights! Do you need a blindfold to enter a casino?

I definitely understand being bothered by flashing lights (I have epilepsy). I often have to wear shades at all times of the day. Hopefully it works out for you.

Summerlin says there are no rules about anything that has to do about Christmas lights except that they are only allowed between Nov 25 and Jan 15.

Another one that doesn't give a damn about someone with health problems. What a wonderful place to live if you're not perfect.
