So the drive has kicked off and the potential team has sold 5,000 season tickets thus far. I was kinda hoping that the number would be a little higher, but maybe its just me. Everybody seems to be really happy with that number after two days.

Yeah lots of ways to play with the numbers. If it's 5000 from general public it's great. If most of it is Founders commitments then it's a problem. I still firmly believe 10k is not a problem, but I'm less and less convinced the NHL is certain to give a team even with plenty of cushiom. They are out soliciting Seattle again after all.

This isn't Phoenix. We actually have pride in our city. There are no other cities in Nevada except Reno, and I can guarantee you they wont be rooting for any team based in Vegas. Nor would they be caught wearing our team's jersey. They hate us with a passion.

Is there any guarantee that the name will be Las Vegas and not Nevada? Because I wont be buying any Nevada season tickets or Nevada gear. What is this, Reno?

Oh yeah, I can just hear the announcers now, "the Nuvahhda Black Knights" WTF???

The team ownership backed off from using the name Nevada for the team name after the uproar it caused. So, put your season tickets deposit down for your Las Vegas (insert name here)

No new updates on where they are at with deposits... Last number we heard was "over 5,000"

How is everyone feeling? Confident still?

I feel pretty good about our chances still... If they can get that number up in the 7,500 - 8,000 range, I think Vegas is in good shape. That would actually be more full season ticket holders than some other teams out there.

Florida is averaging a TOTAL of 10,000 fans per night... Obviously the goal isn't to BE Florida's fanbase, but it's already safe to say that Vegas would represent better than at least ONE team out there lol.

This town isn't built for a high amount of full season ticket holders in the first place. There is too much to do and too many oddball shifts to work to commit to more than 40 games a year.

Vegas will find great success in partial-season packs as well as single-game tickets.

It doesn't do any good to announce any updates until the effort closes. The first update was good to create urgency. Now they have to stay quiet in order to sell as much as they can without distraction to buyers. Once they lose momentum with them they go back to Founders and big businesses and make a last pitch. Once word gets out they hit 10k sales will tail off so they need to get all orders possible before a final tally is announced.

Spoke to a ticket rep today and he said that we should expect another update on the ticket drive in about a week or so. He said that they are still getting deposits in everyday, so thats good news

I'm guessing if we do get a team they will offer other block packages right? Like 10 games. Half season.

This is Las Vegas. A lot of us work nights and don't wanna burn all our vacation time.

Somebody posted that over 7,000 tickets have now been sold per a MGM Resorts earnings conference call today. Thats great news if thats an accurate number. We are less then 3,000 left to hit our goal mark

That is a really, really good number. Anything higher than 7,500 is icing on the cake for me. I think that number would seal the deal on a team here... The other 10k will come in the form of short-season packs, single game tickets and tourists... You have to remember that there are many fans who live here that will be attending when their team comes to town... But who have no interest in committing to a full season for a Vegas team.

Over 7,000 is fantastic.
