Lizards, coyotes, rabbits, ground squirrels, owls, hawks, tortoise, burros, mustangs. I've never seen a snake or scorpion.

I finally saw scorpions this year. Dozens (probably hundreds) of them a mile from my house in one of the Master association flood ways/walking path. They contacted pest control and I haven't seen one since.

I see lizards and the huge spiders with hundreds of babies on their backs frequently. The reflections on it's back are the baby spider eyes....

Looks like I'll have to venture out at night in order to see a scorpion. I've always wanted to see a bobcat but haven't had any luck yet.

That spider. Did you kill it with fire?

Pop on amazon and get an LED blacklight before you go looking. The 21 LED model is $7, the 51 LED model is $13. Scorpions glow under blacklight and I found them all in rocky areas.

Just saw a bighorn in Boulder City. That isn't Las Vegas, I know. Close enough, though.

Boulder City is just an outskirt of Henderson which is an outskirt of Vegas. All the same thing.

I've only ever killed one, and it was with bug spray. I was not prepared for 100 baby spiders instantly running in all directions and the tarantula sized mama flopped around for 5 minutes before succumbing. The babies are on its back in layers, no way to kill these without something getting away.

Since then I've seen three more with babies on the walking path. I give a wide berth and stay the hell away from them. If they aren't at my house I'm not touching them. I could have prevented 300+ of those bad boys from running around and did nothing. I'm sure they ate plenty of bugs and/or small children as a result.
