And hearing about the horrendous winter that is happening in Mass. right now, we will happily take the extreme heat of the summer! lol.
My wife and I are T-minus 4 days from leaving Eastern, Pennsylvania and making the trek to our new Vegas home... and let me tell you... not going to miss this winter nonsense one bit. Mother nature has been so nice to give us a great "parting gift" the last week before we leave.

Snow and overnight temperatures below zero.....

Will gladly replace this will extreme summer heat no problem...

Wife and I both grew up in Vermont. We moved to Vegas 3.5 years ago now. We thought we'd miss Vermont but don't miss it one bit. Our friends come out to visit us, and we make a trek back maybe once a year.

We bought a house in The Lakes and absolutely love it here.

We are out in the desert a bit and have never seen snakes or scorpions. We have an occasional cockroach near the cat's water bowl, maybe one or two a year. We had ants by the pool but they're not nearly as bad as they were a few years ago. We had a family of Geckos living behind the sconce in out back yard. Unfortunately they moved when we had the house painted. We have a pair of ducks (Jack and Diane) who live in our pool this time of year.
