Since there was a similar thread about Circus Circus across the street the last two older vintage casinos left on the strip.

Well, I like Circus Circus. The Riviera is cool.

I haven't exactly helped them any financially.

I like old school Las Vegas. I didn't start to visit till 2007. To my eternal regret, the 'Stardust' was gone. The 'Riviera' is a place of interest to me. While we were staying in Circus Circus last October, we spent some time in there. The $1 blackjack is fun. Some real characters playing at those tables.

We have also stayed downtown six times, staying at the 'Golden Nugget,' '4 Queens' and 'El Cortez.' These old fashioned places have great atmosphere, and we prefer that. I guess whether the 'Riviera' survives or not, is if enough people feel like we do.

I also loved the 'Sahara'. It was a sad day when it closed. I can't say I think much of the new 'SLS'. But, if enough of the younger end like it, and it does well, maybe that is the future direction the 'Riviera' will have to take.
