Hi,
We have a 4-hour layover in Las Vegas airport, we're thinking of visiting the strip. we will probably take a taxi from the airport to the strip, but what's the best method and fastest to return to the airport from the strip?
What about renting a car from the airport? is it worth it?

Thanks.

I recommend taking a cab both ways, especially cuz you only have a few hours.

Renting a car would be a pain since picking it up and dropping it off is off site and a shuttle away.

Thanks rentmax.
Is it easy to find a cab at the strips?

It is easy to find a cab at ALL major strip clubs, and all strip casinos. (Didn't know what you meant by 'strips' so I thought I'd cover all bases)

Each hotel/casino will have a taxi line at main entrance.

Good luck

You might want to plan out one place to hit, maybe have a quick meal, and head back.

Keep in mind, I've seen some horrendous security lines at McCarren.

Is there anything specific you wanted to do while away from the airport?

A four hour layover really isn't going to give you any time to do anything, unless you just want to look at the outside of the casinos (which is legit - there's a lot to see) or run in and play somewhere for a few minutes.

I just want to do a fast look at the outside of the strip and check out "Bellagio Fountains" and maybe "Paris Las Vegas".

Get a cab, take it to Paris. Tell the cabby to take Swenson, so you don't get long hauled. You do a loop around Paris. Their Buffet is good (last time I did it.) If the line isn't too long, you may want to try it. There are a few other good restaurants in there. You can get out to the strip fairly quickly from their. The Bellagio Fountains are right across the street. They're better viewed from the strip than from on the Bellagio property

The fountains run during the day, but are much more interesting to watch at night. You didn't say what time your going to be there. You might have time to take a spin around Bellagio. You could get a cab back to the airport from there.
