Hello could someone tell me if Koval st Or Mohawk rd good streets to live on or are they in a good part of town? A company I'm considering working for said they could offer me temporary lodging on either of these streets?

As big as Las Vegas is, you need to list the cross street.

Koval is not a good street, depending on where it is. Don't know about Mohawk, but sounds like is around the strip. I would not live by there, but it depends on what your job is, and it may be a plus if you would be living by where you work. But it also depends on where you are coming from. Small town? Big Town? It depends on the type of life you have now, on if you could handle living by the strip.

If the strip were a movie set, Koval would be behind the facade. Looking at the rear entrances to the casinos is never a pretty sight and brings harsh reality to the casino's fake beauty on the other side. Koval is not pretty and in places has many low-income transients living there. Shame on that company (especially if 'you' are a 'family'!)

Koval is part of the very convenient near strip living that is currently undergoing a change from scary low income drug zone to high rent high rise condos. This is a change that will take a decade or two to complete, but there are one or two towers built and many more in the works. Personally, I wouldn't go walking up and down Koval at night by myself or anything, but if you plan on enjoying the strip and you are not with a family, it may be a better choice for you. For example, if you were staying at say Koval and Spring Mountain, you'd be able to walk to the Bellagio or Treasure Island in five minutes and not have to worry about cab fare or risking a DUI.
Mohawk St. is in a newer area in the SW which is probably quieter, still somewhat convenient and surrounded by more industrial type development to the N and E.
Here's what I got by typing in Mohawk in google's map

Mohawk area is light industrial. I don't think so with a family...by myself be OK. Reasonably safe just not high on the nice scale.

Personally I would not live in either of those areas. Koval, though someday as said it will be a condo corridor, I would not go anywhere near. Mohawk is really more industrial. Better that they should place you in some bedroom community areas. If they are paying for it they should move you a little further out.
