As another poster suggested, you can try kayaking the colorado river. For the "laziest" method, you can rent a kayak with a shuttle service, they'll put you in right below Hoover Dam and you float down the river 12 miles until Willow Beach. There are quite a few natural hot springs you can hit along the way. It's a fun trip.

The Mandalay Bay. A beach with sand, several nice swimming areas, and a wave pool too.

And they will bring you cocktails to beach chair.

There is also a rubber raft operation that uses that same launching point. I believe it includes lunch.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody! If nothing else, this has given me a list of new types of activities to look into.

Mandalay Bay does not have a locals entry. There is a way however though it is not cheap - they will rent a cabana to locals during the week but not on weekends. A few hundred dollars. I intend to use it next time I got the grandkids in town. There getting big enough to chase the other sex and be chased...but not ready for a pool club. I believe you can get a large party in on one...6 or 8 and full guest services.
