Can I just stick a canoe or kayak into the river, and take it where it leads, or are there some licenses/fees that need to be paid? I don't want to pay 3 grand to travel with a bunch of morons I don't know or like.
Hell, I don't want to pay 3 grand at all.

Floating down a river should be free. Just like fresh water, land and produce. But capitalism.

I googled it and only came up with travel companies. I don't want to be facilitated. I just want to take a boat ride by myself down a river without being arrested.

Yes, just put a boat in at Willow Beach.. If you don't have a kayak or boat, you can rent one for under $50.

Why? I went to HS in Bullhead and we went tubing every weekend. We never paid anything except for the guy who bought our beer. ( we were 17 or 18 at the time)

That's why I'm a strong swimmer , baby. Seriously though, they have river rafter trips. Steak dinner on the grill and everything. Sounds like a fun CD Meetup.

I am anti social and a control freak. I would be miserable bending to the will of a group of people.
I'll spend an hour getting the righy photo of one spot. A group isn't going to wait for me.
I prefer to go at my own pace.

Ideally I'd cruise down the river a few days, get out, rent a car and drive back home.
