Fair is fair. If I come across one of my news items that shines a positive light on the valley, I would be remiss if I didn't share it.

I'm sure our next drop-out report will allow me to go back to my regularly-scheduled Las Vegas bashing....

Given Scoop's posting history, I'd say it looks like what we have here is a classic case of confirmation bias because Las Vegas makes a bunch on Top 10 lists. Scoop must have missed these:

Best Cities for Singles:
America's best cities for singles - SFGate

Best Cities for Empty Nesters:
The 10 Best Cities To Live In For Empty Nesters

Best Cities for Nascar Fans:
Las Vegas ranked among best cities for NASCAR fans - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

Best Cities for Real Estate:
Real estate website ranks Las Vegas among America's 10 best cities - Las Vegas Sun News

Best Cities for Grads To Get Jobs:

Best Cities for Food:

Best City for Retirement/Snowbirds:

Best City for Halloween Festivities:

Best City to Meet A Man:
The 10 Best Cities In America*|*PureWow

3rd Happiest Place to Work:
No. 3 Happiest Place To Work: Las Vegas, Nevada - In Photos: The 10 Happiest And Unhappiest Cities To Work In Right Now - Forbes

I could go on, but then I too would be guilty of confirmation bias.

Those illegal water sellers are far better than everything else you listed.

$1 for a water when my alternative is $9 for the same bottle of water? OK.
