When I had my Australian Shepherd, I never had to worry about pigeons. She would not tolerate violations of her airspace. Birds, police helicopters, planes from Nellis ( we were in the Nellis flight path) but especially pigeons.

My friends put PVC pipes around the top ledge of their hot tub. Just 4 feet and connecting poles. The pigeons can't stand on it, and eventually lost interest in the entire back yard.

Las Vegas Pest Control | Extermination in Las Vegas NV who did all the work for a lot less then the others, so they'd be my first point of call.
One thing they mentioned is that if a house is left empty in vegas the U bend in the sinks etc can dry out, letting insects up and into the house, so if you haven't go and run all the faucets in the house.
This is very helpful.
