Reason: you can ask for recommendations but can't post the phone number of the one who ripped you off, sorry

I hate to say it, but there are quite a lot of bad mechanics in the valley. Best bet is to take it to the dealer's repair shop, that's what I do with my car.
And whatever you do, avoid Walmart's repair shop like the plague. They will do whatever they can to screw something up totally unrelated to the original problem, which ends up costing more money. Dingbats.

Forget the mobile mechanics. Have it towed to a good shop and get the problem fixed.

Maybe take it to the dealer's repair shop for major work, but not for minor service.
Everytime I took my car to the dealer's shop for a simple oil change, it ended up costing me $300 - $400 or more.
They always seem to find something else "that needs fixing".

Stay away from Sun Valley Automotive on North Rancho. Those guys can't find their back sides with both hands.

Het Aqua...I have had good luck with Doctor Auto at Craig just west of Rancho. They have always taken care of my junk truck and I am using them now to do the routine stuff on the new Avalon. Half the cost of Toyota,
