I don't think EDC is going anywhere, either... There is too much money involved for the city to let it go.
The Live Entertainment Tax hike is a bit of an issue though. EDC organizers aren't happy with it, but to move it back to LA would be a mess.

The attendees aren't the greatest people I have the opportunity to interact with.

The drug consumption is absolutely staggering. Actually had four girls in my cab the other day... They were all arguing with each other. One in the front asks me if I can start going through red lights cause they are in a hurry. Nice. As they are arguing, it's revealed that one of them was banging some dude in order to get a supply of ecstasy from him. The argument in the cab was about what price they should resell it for.
You stay classy, EDC.
Then you have people walking around in thongs and other types of underwear after they have been outside sweating for ten hours. Beyond nasty.
Then the guys... For as much as the genre pushes the "Peace, Love, Care" crap, it really seems to bring out a lot of the "COME AT ME, BRUH" types.

I'm glad people are coming here and spending money, but it's not a good crowd.

I think there's a generational difference in the choice of drugs. The Baby Boomers are seemingly drinking everything in sight - but that's more acceptable?

I still chuckle when I think of my parents warning me about drugs in the 70's. Both of them had drinks in one hand and cigarettes in the other when they said, "Stay away from drugs, son." I don't remember if I laughed out loud or not.

Hot chicks in thongs = happy me.

Drugs should be legal anyway, then she could just sleep with some cashier to get the drugs, and he'd end up getting fired, but since it's a low skill job, he can easily find another one, and the company gets a steamy sex video with which to post online for a modicum of indie fame. It's really a win win.

I turn 60 next year and love EDM. "Kraak and Smaak" is my fav.

I looked at the pics of previous EDC's and makes me really wish I didn't have to get old... I'd be right there... and I've done X many times... it's the "love" drug... on good X, everyone is your best friend... or at least it feels that way... perfect party drug for EDC.
