I would mention safekey as well. It's run by the City of Las Vegas Parks and Leisure Department if I remember correctly.

You might also want to check with the YMCA, they have a safekey program if I recall, and I believe, can pick up your child from their school and bring them to their facility nearest you. I'm not sure how much they charge, or if the YMCA still does safekey, but I do agree, after school childcare is very expensive.

I remember someone recommending a kindergarten in Sunset Station....but what kind of parent would send their kid to a kindergarten in a casino????

Thank you all so much. This was very informative and exactly what I needed. I'm definitely going to start calling around and inquire about the extended kindergarten and the Safekey. That sounds absolutely perfect for my needs. Where I live now in So. Cal daycare starts at upwards of $400-$500/month at a regular daycare facility. I make a decent living but with those prices, I'd be living hand to mouth real soon. Kind of negates the purpose of working doesn't it? Working just to pay for daycare?

But again, thx a million. This definitely is what I needed.
