I think it has more to do with poor management. I guess that is what you get when multiple groups of investors are given a Casino they never intended to run.

I doubt the ROI is bad, the current owners aquired that Casino for $378 million versus the $662 million it cost to build.

It could be but if I am not wrong I think the are still runned by Station's management.

Aliante seems to have fallen out of the Station bankruptcy into the hands of a bunch of private equity firms, who likely have no idea how to run a casino. At some point they'll likely try to sell it off, and one of the better locals operators will buy it, and run it correctly.

I read an article that Stations management ran it for a year after the sale, but they handed over to new management last year.

Since it is impossible to win there, they have enough money to pay for fireworks already. No excuses.

No...the current investors were owed 378 million...they did not pay that realistically.. the value at the time of sale was 47 million.. it was handed to them from the courts

you are only assuming that and it seems you can't win anywhere now days. Probably, the demographics to host such an event is not even there or worth their money or trouble. From there point it could be having some people show up not spend a dime and making a mess and leave

Actually, there are places you can win. Red Rock station, Sunset station, The Grand, a few others. Depending on what you play. But at Aliante, you cannot win, they have the machines tighter than a boa constrictor killing it's prey.
I like not gambling as a rule these days. I do thank Aliante casino for helping me quit gambling so much. If you don't play, you cannot lose.

We bought our house in Aliante a few months before Aliante Station opened. The casino was one of the reasons we bought in that area. Now we don't set foot in the place. We've been going Santa Fe Station since it's the closest that has a poker room. If Aliante reopened it's poker room I would probably play there again. I heard they just got those electronic poker tables which I hate.
