They forgot to mention Shark Nightclub on Harmon which was on the site of the Marriott Grand Chateau and the warehouse club behind the Treasure Island, fun nights especially with 80's music playing. The famous Steak and Eggs special at Binions down at the basement, place was packed every night. It was also fun going to Service Merchandise for their electronics selection and Millers Outpost for their great selection of blue jeans.

What about remembering Wonder World (WOW)?

Or when Steve Wynn only owned the Golden Nugget and did those commercials with his mother?

Or watch Oscar Goodman defend mobsters, in real time, on the news?

So true. Turn up the heat. 115 degree weather feels great to me. I think it just depends on where you grew up as a kid. I love LV heat. After sunset, walking around outside in the heat is nice too. Anything below 50 I'm shivering.

I remember how Oscar would defend all the mobsters. Remember John John's, the Brewery, Dirty Sally's, and the Fog Cutter.

Wonder World on Maryland Parkway and Twain with its neighbor the original Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, not the chain.

Jan Jones and her brother Rocky petting the doggies and kitties in the Thiftimart commercials. $2.99 all you can eat ribs and slaw at Castaways after a night of drinking at the Troubadour. Rip Torn pushing the $3.99 champagne brunch at the Westward Ho on channel 5 during the late late saturday night movie. 10 cent bowling lanes along with 25 cent drafts and shooters at the El Rancho after midnight. The Circus Circus fun book fanny packs that litered up the strip.

Woolworth in Downtown Vegas also Montgomery Ward near Fremont St on Boulder Highway and on Sahara/Decatur.
Furrs Cafeteria on East Sahara in front of KMart and also by the Meadows Mall. Speaking of Jan Jones, Fletcher Jones car dealerships were big during the 80's.
