Sept. 2015 My wife and I have lived in Tuscany community for the last 3 1/2 months. WE moved from the Chicago area. Here is our quick take of things so far. The quality of our new home built by Century Communities is outstanding. The community is guard gated 24/7. Its extra clean, extra quiet, nice neighbors. So far.... no issue with bugs etc. Keeping fingers crossed lol. Using Galleria Drive going west, you will find your only 10 minutes from almost anything you need. Galleria to Boulder HIghway, Gibson, Marks st, and Stephanie and then turning left... you will find everything you need, from restaurants to Best Buy etc. Streets are in almost perfect condition ( compared to Chicago). We have a beautiful, perfectly maintained pool with fantastic Rec Center. As stated by others, no Sids or Lids but the HOA fee is $175 a month. We feel it is well worth it considering the security and how beautiful everything is. WE are looking forward to the cooler weather as this June was our first full month here and it was the hottest on record in Las vegas. August was the 4th hottest on record also. Sooo ready for October and beyond.
The downside of our home is that the yards are small with no grass. Our home in Chicago had a huge yard... lush grass. I should mention that our new home is worth around $260,000. So we aren't rich lol. Sitting in the backyard ( we just had landscaped) with our dogs is a bit of a bummer when the walls are 6ft high. Other than that, can't really see any downside to living here. We love it. We enjoy hitting the buffet once a week and doing some gambling. Although it is 30 minutes away, we enjoy Red Rock Casino. Green Valley Ranch is much closer but we consider it to be dull, and a bit dirty inside. That property needs a major renovation. Red Rock is MUCH more beautiful. I like to play some low limit poker but found that most $2-$4 games have a mandatory MINIMUM age of 80 yrs old. Wow!!!!! Just surprised that no one seems to be under the age of atleast 70 at the Green Valley ranch games. OK people, Im not putting old people down as I hope to reach 80 someday too, but come on !! LOL
All thing considered LOVE Las Vegas... LOVE Henderson.... oh... love that all the Football games start two hours earlier than in Chicago.

Wait, people bought homes in Las Vegas and are actually happy with their decision? If you read some of these threads, you would think this was impossible. Imagine that.
