I am looking for affordable secondary (vacation home) homeowners insurance.. Does anybody have any thoughts or recommendations? I have secondary on the other house in vegas (will become a rental prop), but getting ahold of the agent is next to impossible and i am getting angry.

I use Safeco for my primary and secondary, their rates are reasonable. You can call their 1800 number and get a quote over the phone in about 5 minutes.

If you also just bought the place, you might be getting solicitations for insurance from the title company or the mortgage company. Compare those rates to quotes you get from regular companies, sometimes they are a good deal but other times not.
