This afternoon, it wasn't too bad when I was working. This morning, at 5am, it was brutal. The wind is what did it. There was a chill in the air, but when that wind picked up, I couldn't get warm. There's some long time construction guys out there, and they were wearing sweatshirts and jackets and still shivering. Of course there was that one guy wearing just a tshirt. I am assuming he's from ny or some place horrible.
I want a repeat of last year. It was warm til partway through January.

Exactly. It's all relative. We have guests this week from New England. They don't think it's "so" bad.. meanwhile I'm seeing how many peacoats I can layer LOL

Born in Fargo, raised in MN. I know what cold is and 50 ain't it. But have lived here over 20 years. Am acclimated to the heat now but never was acclimated to the cold there. Went up there for the holidays last year and it was -35 when I left and 50 here when I landed. All I could hear were complaints about how cold it was here. It was too cold up there and too cold here.....but nothing beats a long walk in the January sunshine here in shirtsleeves! The part about winter I don't like are the short days. There is more winter daylight up there. I will take winter here any time and there is no shoveling!

I grew up in PA. I experienced -56. I was used to it, and it didn't bother me. I'd play outside all day.

When we moved to Fl when I was 14 it changed. The first winter, i was laughing at everyone wearing jackets. The next winter I was wearing jackets too. I've never been able to adapt to cold again.
I took to the heat pretty easily. I'll take 115 all day, every day over sub 75.
