I use to gamble in my early twenties. A lot of disposable income from daily tokes and really cheap living back in the eighties. Then I was exploiting a comp loophole for five years that netted me free dinners and brunches for a couple hours of my time per session and would make or loose a few bucks in the process. Loophole closed up two years ago. My last action was my $20 rebuy for the department football pool.

As I said earlier, I gamble, I didn't move to Las Vegas, because of all the churches it has.

We don't gamble, but if the multi-million dollar jackpot ever gets up into the 200-300 Million range then I might drive to Primm to buy some lottery tickets and try my luck. My husband is against gambling for religious purposes so if I won anything from gambling he's said it's all mine and he wouldn't want or touch any of the winnings.

I have this fantasy that if I win the powerball or megamillions I'd donate $100 million of it to the new UNLV medical school research hospital building, so I can put my great great grandmother's name on the building as an endowment. She was the doctor in a small town in Nevada 100 years ago as one of the first settlers of that area in this State. She had twins and one of them is my great grandma. The other twin moved to Las Vegas and all her family lives here.

I thought it would be a really great way to give back to this city I've come to love. Also help the State out and recognize my family history here that I knew nothing about until after moving here recently.

If I had a million left out of that jackpot to live on I'm good for probably the rest of my life.

Compared to the other posters in this thread, I must be a gambling reprobate. I gamble almost every day, always have pending sportsbook bets, keep a bunch of players club cards in my cars door pockets, know all the best vp paytables, am on a first name basis with the the craps crews, go on a casino swag run every week and receive more mail from casinos than every one else combined.

Apparently it wont be long before you find me on the corner of Sahara and Las Vegas Blvd with a sullen unshaven face and a card board sign as I thank you for the dollar bill you poke out of the 1/4" gap of your partially opened car window. In the meantime gotta run over to Stations to pick up a free six pack of Kirin that will probably only cost me a hundy. Merry Christmas!

Degenerate gamblers...regular gamblers...Aren't they repetitive bingo players and those peeps who buy lottery tickets every week no matter where they live in North America? Now that's a gambling addiction with terrible odds.

The last time we were at the Conservatory, nearly all the other guests were standing around staring at their phones. It was nearly Halloween, so maybe they were supposed to be zombies.

We gamble modestly as it has been our hobby for many years.
We do it for enjoyment and go about once a week.
Night out for a couple is about 60 to 100 dollars for us.
We often come home even or ahead as well.

We went out on the same 60$ for about 4 weeks in row.

we tip well and enjoy the free drinks and discount food.

Play slots is not gambling, it's gaming. I'm a consistent loser. Fortunately, I can afford to spend $20k a year for some free buffets and some "gifts". Actually, I wouldn't go to the casinos to play the slots but the wife really, really enjoys them.

Snowbirds here, and yes, we winter in Las Vegas because we enjoy playing vp. We are far from being addicted, but we have been known to play some every day during our winters here. We enjoy the perks, free food, small slot tourneys, senior movies and occasionally visit the Strip to see the "sights." We just don't gamble on the Strip unless my husband decides to play a little poker. Then I will play to kill time.
Not sure if I would want to live here if I didn't enjoy going out to the local casinos. (Although getting away from the snow and ice are a bonus.)
