Giordano's was one of the few bright spots when I lived in Chicago going to grad school.

I don't remember the name of the pizza joint where I ate in Chicago, but I do remember that I was surprised that it was as good as, or maybe a little better than, the best in my hometown of Little Italy...uh, er, ...Clarksburg, WV, home of the best Italian Heritage Festival in the country.

Now, my question is: Where the he** is the Grand Bazaar? Never hoid of it.

Giordanos will be a tremendous success here from the opening day. In my opinion it is the best of the stuffed, deep dish Chicago pizzarias.

Love their pizza. Wish it wasn't on the strip.

I've had deep dish way back in the day when I lived in Connecticut so it won't be a big deal to me but I want to try Chicago pizza or as close as it can get. Yet I don't think it will come close to real pizza only to be had in the NE tri-state area.

^^Key point. For the deep dish they are IMO the best hands down. When you start talking other options then you have Lou Malnatis and a number of others in the mix.

In Des Moines, Iowa there is a local pizza joint called Felix and Oscars that has some of the best deep dish anywhere. When we go home for anything I'll be hinting about a visit.

Enjoy your casserole.
Ha ha, that was the funniest thing I ever saw Jon Stewart do.
