I hope the fools here who hate their own country and constantly denigrate it find happiness with the Muslims that they seem to think are our friends. Think about it when your heads are being chopped off.

If it were not for the land bridge that provided the indians with access to the Americas...Or if the Vikings would have...or if the Spanish hadn't conquered the Americas...or if the Germans and the Japanese would have won the war...or if the Mexican government weren't so corrupt...or if I could have hit a curveball...or if whatever. What does it matter? It didn't happen, so we will never know what could have been.
How did this go from hating Mexicans to hating Muslims? How did we get here to begin with? Where's the posters who were calling everyone racists? Oh wait I see them, they're the ones posting the anti-Muslim stuff. I guess some "racism" is en vogue and some isn't.

Wow... I guess I should have put the sarcastic smiley at the end of my post. Note to self.

My car insurance is going to go way down in Las Vegas compared to Detroit. Crime is way lower in Vegas compared to Detroit. I can think of much worse areas than Vegas. I can think of better, but any place is what you make of it.

How is it racism to not trust those who say they are going to kill all of us who don't have the same beliefs as they do. I defend anyone's right to their belief even if I think it's stupid. But that doesn't go for people who want to kill me unless I believe what they do. I would defend Muslims right to their belief too if they were sane about it. Muslims kill more Muslims than anyone else on this planet. They hate and don't trust each other; and they especially hate us. Only a fool would look at their history and what they say about us today and still believe that we should be nice to them because they are not all bad. They are all indoctrinated to believe that we must die. Oh, I know. It's all our fault for being mean to them. Everything is America's fault. That attitude makes me want to puke. What blind idiots. BTW: Not all Muslims are Arabs but Americans tend to call everyone from the middle east an Arab. I happen to know the difference though. And the reason it got on this subject is that we were talking about closing our borders to illegals. 9/11 started that argument and then the argument got twisted and went from closing the borders to terrorists to closing the border to people who are starving and need a job. We have been welcoming Mexican labor here to work for 150 years after we illegally took it from them in the first place; but I don't propose giving it back now. Just show a little compassion for basically good people. Oh, but Buzz, they broke our laws, they broke our laws. Big deal. What should the punishment be for crossing an imaginary line, the death penalty? So now there are too many of them so they are the cause of all our troubles and they have to go even if it takes down our economy and causes another great depression in this country. If you want to blame America for something, blame us for not sticking to our agreement as laid out in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Now what was the original thread about?

Not all Muslims are terrorists, nor do all Muslims hate America. Many Muslims are Americans as well.
Christians have plenty of blood on their shoes as well. It's an especially dark time for Islam, but bigger atrocities have been committed in the name of Christ. Any religion can be perverted to fit the ideals of sick individuals, but religion can also give people peace and guidance.

Nice Chest. I don't know where Buzz got the notion that we hated America, just like I don't know where he got the notion that everyone in here must be white and hate Hispanics.

In reading the negative posts about how bad the U.S. of A. is, and in reading between the lines. Plus I get it from all the anti-Mexican emails I receive from every part of the country, and what is said here just repeats those emails. I realize that I'm somewhat reacting to things that weren't necessarily posted here, but the comments seem to come from the same frame of mind as emails I get. The vicious anti Mexican emails that really get me are the one's from places where no Mexican has ever been yet they are sure that Mexicans are the cause of all our problems. I don't enjoy being in the position of defending illegal aliens, but let's face it; they come here because of our tacit invitation for work. It didn't just start with 9/11, as these emails and posts make it sound. It's been going on for over 150 years, ever since that illegal war with Mexico back in the 1840's when we took their land. Certain politicians at the time were at fault for that but it's too late to do anything about it now. Should we give it back? No. But we should be more tolerant and understanding. There is a way to work it out, but the politicians are catering to the votes of the screaming idiots who blame Mexico for everything, including 9/11, instead of looking for a rational solution, so don't look for them to do anything to make it a win win situation.

I don't feel we can blame the Mexican worker for our problems; nor do I feel it is the responsibility of any businessman to police people's citizenship papers. Businesses aren't policemen. The police can't even do anything about illegals. Only the U.S. Immigration people can do anything and they are completely overwhelmed. We obviously need workers, so why not make it easy for a guy to get a temporary work visa? Then, any foreigner who doesn't have one is obviously up to no good. But then who knows who is a foreigner? This is America. We don't have SS troops demanding your papers here. It's not a simple problem but we could at least make it a little simpler. And no fence is ever going to do anything to keep people out, but it might keep us in. How would it be to hear the President of Mexico say to our prez, "Mr. Bush, tear down that wall?"
As far as Muslims, if anyone believes that even the "nice" ones don't support Islam then you need your head examined. To them, Islam comes before anything else. That's fine. Let them believe in their religion, I don't care; but Islam has declared war on us. Therefore, how can we trust anyone who supports Islam? It's WAR. After we win the war we can take them back. For now, deport them. Sorry. PC doesn't apply here. And, I'm afraid I'd lose some good doctors that I see now, but that's the breaks. I suspect that some of my doctors send money to terrorist groups anyway.

Enforce the immigration laws we have now and we won't have any major problems.
