hey concept...making threats against people will just get you banned. try not to take peoples suggestions so personally.

esp. since you asked for people opinions...just because they aren't exactly what you wanted to hear doesn't invalidate them.

and mom did straighten out some of your gross misconceptions (re: ambulances and crackheads) and say what a lot of us will about kids...they have to be a priority.

in the end you will have to do what you want, so if you have specifics q's about vegas, post them. general q's will just get general answers.

Wow this guy doesn't seem to be very friendly, being with her for 9 years seems that you found something interesting to stay with her that long, why not get a restraining order against her. Fight for custody of the children in your home state other wise you will be seen as a dead beat dead. If I were you and I'm glad I'm not I would take one of those 8 job offers and proceed with respect instead of running away, I deal with a great deal of dead beat dads and also with those that care for their children and from what it looks like you are trying to run from your responsibility.

If she is as crazy as you say why would you want your children to be raised by her anyways, I would think that you would think you could do a better job.

Americans will not do these jobs at payrates of $5.75 an hour, however they will do them for a wage that they can actually live on. Thats the problem with Americans, gee, they have wage standards.

When I lived in Vegas, I was told that it was a migrant city. People do move there, try it out, and then leave for many reasons. One story I read in the Vegas paper was about a California family who moved to Vegas (Dad had substance problems, the mom was mentally ill, and the two kids were 15 and 16, but didn't have jobs). They stayed at temporary Las Vegas motel and tried to get work in Vegas, but their issues prevented them from getting decent employment. They ended up leaving the area.

Well let me start off by telling you that I'm not crazy and I'm not a fruit loop.
you're just saying that over the internet because I can't reach out and pysically grab you. Trust. And to thee old lady. I'm from the 5 boroughs of New York City and I'm street smart like a motherf-----. Also I came to upstate New York with 20 dollars in my pocket. Not saying I would do that again but I do have a plan. Go with a acople thousand and play broke at a mision for free stay and get a job. I am bilinguial and I work harder than a mexican if I had to. And I'm not your average waiter like "Hi can I take your order". I have spark and 16 years experience. I've gotten 8 job offers so far and it not Wendys. If I stayed in New York she would bother me aggravate me and so on. She wopuld pick a fight, and with no sracthes on her call the cops and get me arrested. I spent a day in jail b4 and she didn't even press charges. Oh and I don't gamble. I just want a place to go to school with no bother. I've never been single b4 and don't want a relationship, and I plan to come back. The most people make here is like 15 hr and they are so racist it's NOT funny. Smiling at me like lookat this black man working, multi-tasking and not robbing people. I hate it. Been up here 10 years and with her 9 years. I want a change. If you've never waited tables b4 it's because you can't deal with people. But I can. Respond please!
Sounds just like any of the other of hundreds that come through CCDC every night. You will fit in just fine here. New York doesn't make you tough either. Thats where people who can't handle Detroit go.

If Las Vegas is such a migrant city...how the heck did we ever grow to 2 million residents...

Why aren't they LEAVING as you stated!????

MOM MOM cheap houses bought by lots of Calfornia money with the hope and promise that high speed rail will someday make Las Vegas a suburb of LA. We loved it there, but there were no jobs that paid me well enough to keep me there so I am on the east coast where people are actually paid for their education. Just different priorities, but I loved LV>

That is almost as dumb as the people who come here with the system to beat the house. It has the same result.

When you get good at whatever you do come back. We pay well for those at the higher level of proven skill.

Dang Capt, you took the words right out of my mouth...

When will the misguided ever learn and stop their whining and singing "the Las Vegas done me wrong song"

And most of your high pay goes to your taxes and the high cost of living...on that East Coast my love....

And jeez, the stupid Californians bought homes here that they couldn't afford because they heard a the train was going to be built? When? In this century or next? OMG, now that is funny! OK, you just explained it then, the mass exodus from Cali to LV, the train, the train!

Nevermind what you think about Las Vegas...you ain't in no paradise, that's for sure! It's the reason why so many East Coasters (and Mid Westerners and Cali's) have moved to LV and are still doing so!
