And I'm lucky enough to use a bank that doesn't charge me any fees at all.

I think I read the national average is 90% of all checking accounts require either a minimum balance over $500 or a direct deposit to not charge a monthly fee. There are a few free ones out there, but fewer and farther between.

Uh, if a bank wanted to charge me for not direct depositing, I would go to another bank. I use a credit union. They don't do all that crap.

If my employer made me do direct deposit, I would. I only go to the casino because they give you free beer and sometimes free other things like buffets. Also, if I deposit a check, sometimes the bank holds it for a few days. It's easier to go to the casino, get free stuff, then take cash to the bank where it will post instantly. Boulder Station is only 1 block out of my way when I go home from work, so I'm not even going out of my way.

Didn't spend a dime.
Club Fortune gives 5% of your check amount back in free play. The only catch is you can't cash your paycheck if it's over $800 :/

Yeah, that's another great game for dribbling in next to nothing on slow motion speed play at the .25 level. I like your idea/I'll have to work on my acting skills as you outlined....hehehe.

Yeah, me too, but it's a good deal for people who make less! LOL I cash mine at GVR. They have a $5K limit, but normally I get boarding pass points, which add up to buffets or whatever.

It's easy to hit 50 tier points for a free buffet playing poker. If you play at Caesars poker room, it is only 1.5hrs and just 3hrs at all other CET poker rooms. These are also stackable for up to 2ppl so you can get 1 today and 1 tomorrow and invite a guest as long as your oldest voucher isn't 48hrs old.

I've been playing poker and taking my GF every other day to different buffets. Planet Hollywood, Paris, and Rio are our favorites. This promo should run at least till March 31st and I'm hoping they renew this afterward too.

Also, you can get any buffet. You don't need to earn tour tier credits at Rio to go to the Rio buffet. And you can earn the tier credits at different properties too so say 30 credits at Flamingo and then 20 credits at Linq for a total of 50.

Update: Last night I earned my 5th free buffet, this may be too much of a good thing!

So far, 5 for 5 coming out ahead & having them provide me a free buffet for something I'm doing anyways.

As others have mentioned, if you have any acumen at poker sit & play tight (conservative) for 3 hrs, most times you will come out ahead in addition to earning a free buffet. Caesars is even better, play for 1.5 hrs (they double the tier credits/hr to 34 instead of 17) & earn a free buffet (but not at Caesars buffet, as far as I know). Expecting to see a lot of poker players in various buffets over the next couple months, this fits perfectly for them given that many of them don't do much cooking at home & it rewards them for something they would be doing anyways. I happen to cook at home a fair amount but will enjoy this while it's around as it makes life a little easier.

I do NOT advocate doing this just for the buffet if you are adverse to giving the casino action, but if you have a sense of EV (Expected Value) & can be disciplined it's a great, great deal.

I'm currently sitting on 2 free buffet comps for Planet Hollywood (favorite of the bunch) so I will take a buddy today. He'll take me next time.
