So in a deal my friend and I made for slightly lower rent I agreed I'd set up wifi service at their house and I wanted to know what a good internet or wifi provider would be. Anybody BUT COX

Theres cox and centurylink. Centurylink is beyond bad. About 85. Including modem.

Davie The practical choices are Cox or Cox.

You might be able in a few places to get reasonable stuff out of Centurylink but mostly it is too bad to live with.

Damn does AT&T not offe U-Verse out there?

It seems Cox has a monopoly on the cable/wifi market in Las Vegas the way bright house fire in Orlando

Cox sucks but Centurylink is even worse. You might be able to do your thing via a mobile hotspot if your mobile plan is fast enough and allows enough data.

That's what We use; T Mobile $50 for 10G. We are using the Binge On plan (480P video) . T Mobile doesn't count data against your plan if you use the approved video streaming services. We use Sling TV and Crackle.
