Let me ask around. There are plenty of PI attorneys out here, PLENTY. I have a connection to an attorney that deals mostly in criminal defense, mainly DWI. I may have a comm. litigation attorney I could talk to as well. Are you already in town? If not, when do you plan on being here?

Oops, guess I should pay more attention, huh? What can I say it's getting late.
No I'm not in Vegas yet. I'm hoping to find a job first, haven't been able to sell my house so I don't want to take the chance of not being able to pay rent and a mortgage.
Thanks

Join...Get a job. Join. You need to meet a mess of people to find the keepers. Come to the DDO and suck up to MomMom...she knows all sorts of people.
Remember that the job of female teenagers is to provide the fire to temper the souls of their parents. I have done three plus a volunteer who signed up late in her teenager years. At least two of the four were crazy. The issue is which two.
There are lots of stuff that lead to acquaintances which are sorted down into friends. Go to schools things regularly. Try local citizens groups. Join a cop supprt group.
You can do it..strive on...it will come.

What about a country girl?
Las Vegas is DH's hometown but he's put his roots down here in south Louisiana to be with me. He really does love it here and wouldn't want to leave but...........
he and his brother (who lives in Vegas) are talking about taking over a business from a friend of theirs. He's all for it. It's his dream. Unfortunetly it's not mine. lol I'll follow the man anywhere albeit kicking and screaming. lol
He says I'll be fine but I'm not so sure.
We've visited several times staying as long as a month at a time. I've liked it while there but was always ready to come back home to the country. We live in a town of 300. Yes, you read that right. 300! Our kids go to an awesome little country school. (I can't imagine sending them to big overcrowded schools) We live on enough land to be fairly self sufficient as for as gardening and raising animals. (my dream)
I just don't know how I would adjust there. EEK!!!!! It seems so scary to me. This life is all I know except for visiting. And I am adventurous. I love to visit all kinds of places. But actually living there, I'm not so sure. From all I've seen there's no "country" there.

That might be harder to adjust to a large city like Las Vegas compared to your little country town that you feel "at home". Its nice to know everyone in your town or community as you get that sense of security. I think if you end up getting to know a lot of people and become comfortable with new friends, you should be ok. That's just my opinion.. I can't really relate because I came from a large city also and Vegas seems to be more of a smaller community than the area I came from. It might just be a Culture Shock for you though

By and large, I'm happy here. The people are friendly (at least they are in Centennial Hills!), there are a number of dog parts, and the lodges are good. My only complaint is that I can't get certain Japanese items like I could back in the SF Bay Area. With a city this size, you'd think that they'd have a Kinokuniya Bookstore. The nearest one is in LaLa Land.

There is always Logandale/Overton, Sandy Valley, or Parhump. These are pretty rural cities that are not too far from Vegas.
