I Love how people from elsewhere complain about the traffic. If you have lived in ANY MAJOR CITY than you know that the traffic in Vegas is not bad at all.

The traffic is minimal for a city.
it's the idiot drivers who keep wrecking into people.

And effing idiot drivers texting while driving. You can easily spot these offenders driving slow on 95, 15 and even 215; heads are down or best one yet the phone is on top of the steering wheel.

The thing people fail to realize is that drivers have sucked at driving since cars existed. Cell phones are a new invention. Car wrecks are much older than that. The ONLY cause of car wrecks is a populous that does not know how to operate a vehicle.
Driver's ed teaches nothing useful. Driver's tests test nothing useful. Very few people are actually skilled enough to safely operate a vehicle.

Statistics indicate LV drivers are around average. Not great not terrible. Facts. Auto fatality rates say the same. Sure LV has idiot drivers...just like everywhere else.

I would note that the google autonomous cars just had an accident where Google agrees it was partially the car's fault.. So it happens to us all.

I think the main reason people love to speed is the simple fact that there is a lack of traffic. When you have major congestion, there is no space to go fast. When the street is wide open people tend to drive faster than what they realize is too fast. In other words, bad driving is not Vegas specific but it all depends on personal experiences.

Traffic is a result of people not knowing how to operate a vehicle. The inability to critically think behind the wheel. The inability to plan ahead.

Speed is not the problem.

It is far worse in the Bay Area, which has no major city.

Northern Va. traffic is awful....and add in folks just "passing through" who don't know where the hell they're going, and it's a nightmare!
Same in Vegas...lots of tourist who don't know what's up!
