But Philip Rivers would take his ball and go home to the South so they wouldn't be any good again. If he thinks Los Angeles is too sinful a place to raise his eight children, imagine what he thinks of Las Vegas.

The NFL loves new stadiums. They typically reward them by letting them host a Super Bowl, too. Those that want the Raiders to stay in northern California have to wake up. Not saying that love for new stadiums, significantly at taxpayer expense in most cases, is justified. However, it is what it is!

Think Sacramento would be a good choice for a new stadium to compete with Las Vegas. The metro is slightly larger than Las Vegas and plenty of fans would drive there from the nearby East Bay region. Some fans would also drive from San Jose, Redding, Chico, Fairfield, Vacaville, Davis, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield, and Reno, NV, too.

Time is running out, though. If no alternative is presented in the next few months, it is a no brainer that they will be moving to Las Vegas. If the convincing win over the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos Sunday night can't motivate someone to offer an alternative, nothing will!

Viva Las Vegas!

News today that the city of Oakland has a legit proposal for a $1.3 billion football only stadium. This is concerning.

Sounds like everyone is saying the proposal is a joke, and the Raiders are not even taking it serious.

Oakland cut a reasonable deal, they weren't a bunch of amateurs like Nevada's politicians getting bamboozled by Sheldon and his media blackout effort. $200m in infrastructure and some land agreements, pretty much what I said all along should be the offer made for public money, not $750m with no guarantees the project ever gets finished.

It's not as simple as building a stadium here. The league doesn't want Oakland to move and with a viable option on the table, Davis may not get the requisite votes to move the team.

Goodell's voice doesn't matter. Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft are two of the most influential owners in the NFL. If they support the move, which they do, it's just a matter of time before the rest of the owners support it as well.

They supported it when there was no viable stadium option in Oakland. We don't know what they think now.
