Default Moving to Vegas with family

Hi,

I will be moving to Vegas in end of Feb with my wife and 3 yr old son. Wanted to know which apartments are best in Lake area (SW) to stay. I am looking for safe place near to some preschools and shopping complexes.
Please guide me.

I can't think of an apartment complex in this city where you wouldn't be able to walk to at least to a grocery store, walmart (or target), and various other shopping.

I don't know anything about preschools.

But, I can tell you that south vegas, southeast vegas, and henderson are a relatively quick commute if you either plan your commute to avoid traffic or avoid surface streets. I live on the SE Vegas/Henderson border and I can make it to the extreme ends of either the southwest or henderson in about 15 minutes.

hope this helps.

If a convenient location is what you're after, think the Charleston and Rampart intersection is the way to go. You'd actually be next to three of the nicest shopping centers in Summerlin, accompanied by lots of restaurants as well. The intersection is additionally zoned for some really good schools. Try Camden Del Mar. It's supposed to be the nicer of the complexes.

If you want more for your money, the Sahara and Fort Apache intersection tends to be less expensive. The neighborhoods are a bit older, but I wouldn't say that they're dangerous at all. This intersection hosts a movie theatre, as well as a few boutiques and restaurants, while also offering close proximity to the stuff at Charleston. As for complexes, Wellington Meadows gets amazing reviews, as does Summerhill Pointe.

This list has pretty much settled on Wellington Meadows in this area as Radraja said. ...at least if you can afford it. If not than try for a condo in 89117 or 89147.
