Well since each Uber/Lyft driver is there own small business, no.

If you don't want to drive for them (or the cab companies), russel up some investors, and put together your own service.

Corporate America did not screw anyone here. The cab companies are the ones who have been screwing people for decades. Long hauls, horrible service, arrogance, neglecting the suburbs, the list goes on, lead to this. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Exactly, every Uber driver is a Sole Proprietor business in Clark County with a State and County business license.

I don't tip a lot, just a little. I like the fact you can get an estimate of the ride in advance so you can compare it to a taxi fare.
You arent supposed to tip and the drivers arent supposed to accept. Thats one of their rules.

I use to and from the airport. Were 15 minutes from the airport and it usually costs 15 bucks.

No, actually it is not against policy for Uber drivers to take tips,
they just have to be cash.
There was a big lawsuit in San Francisco about that very issue. Come on, you give a bartender or waitress a couple of bucks for drinks a small tip to an Uber driver not that big of deal.

I've only used Lyft, not Ãœber and when you rate your driver and pay, there is a tip option. The nice thing is that you do not have to fumble for small bills because cash tipping is not the norm, unlike with taxis.

So far, I love Lyft. Ãœber, not so much. ( trying to deal with Ãœber support was a nightmare )

Uber drivers can accept cash tips. There is no tipping option on the app like Lyft. My rule of thumb is if I accept a surge fare then no tip. Non surge fare is usually 2-3 bucks is good.

Does anyone have experience with Lyft or Uber in North Las Vegas? I am wondering it either one is more active and easier to get a ride.

As an aside I do prefer the Lyft app were I can see the vehicles.
