Mobile homes information?
My family is currently living in Tennessee, and we really don't like it.
We moved here around August from Chicago. So we are used to everything that a big city has.
So we are looking into Vegas. We know there is no way of affording a house,so we would like a mobile home that has at least 3 bedrooms and thats double-wide.
Can anyone tell me some mobile home park names that sell/rent their mobile homes? Are they very run-down? Any other information about them?
Thank you!

Or in the gullies of the washes on the SE side of town. Seemed like every time there was a heavy rain and flooding event the trailer parks over there got a row or two smaller......lol.

TonyL, the majority of mobile home parks in the Las Vegas area are seedy and run-down.
I think you should look at the Pahrump area as a lot of residents live in double-wides and triple-wides there. With plenty of wide open spaces. And no tornado's.
It's just an hour and a half drive to Vegas, used to be an hour, but with so many commuting back and forth from there now, you have to allow for extra time.
Other places to check out for that type of living would be Overton, Bunkerville, Moapa, Beaver Dam,AZ, and they are all close enough to Las Vegas to commute.

Didn't Clark Griswald's cousin live in a trailer out there? I remember him cooking chicken on one of the rocks in the desert heat.

There are some quite nice mobile home parks.. They are not especially cheap in Las Vegas. You will likely do better to simply have someone run up the lists of inexpensive housing. Part will be manufactured or mobile...but some will be stick built. Decide on your price than pick the best neighborhood you can afford.
