Want to move to Vegas, but not in the city. I want a house on a quiet street with nearby beautiful nature and within 30-40 minutes from the Strip.

What are my options?

It's a city in a desert. We have many quiet streets but not much greenery and beautiful nature. You need to come visit and look for yourself. Some people appreciate the beauty of the desert and others do not.

You could get a house in Lake Las Vegas, basically far Henderson on the edge of BLM land. I wouldn't call the scenery beautiful unless empty desert does that for you. Aliante is the other direction, relatively quiet and on the edge of BLM land. Again, just desert scenery. Double your drive time to the strip and you could live in pahrump. You could have several acres to yourself and enjoy more desert scenery and horse property... And brothels...

Cool, no I'm not looking for greenery. I like the desert. What I meant with beautiful scenery was perhaps some cactuses, some cliffs and perhaps even a lake. A golf course would be nice.

"The Lakes" looks cool. Is it crowded?

I like to take walks but prefer not to see too many people, cars and noise. If it's completely dead it would be a plus.

I think you're describing "Lake Las Vegas". The Lakes is the neighborhood bounded by Desert Inn and Sahara on the south and north, and Hualapai and Durango on the west and east.

Oh yeah, you are right. Lake Las Vegas is what I meant. Lots of nice houses in the middle of nothing, and the place feels like a ghost town.

I think you're describing towns on the east coast. You're not likely to find anything of that description here. Boulder City might come about as close to that east coast scenario as any though. And you might like living at Mt. Charleston if you can find a place for sale, and if you can afford it. But I understand the drive to town gets old fast. Las Vegas is one big city. Anything that isn't already city is public land controlled by the BLM. They control 87% of Nevada. But, anywhere you can walk without people around you would have to drive to. There are just two major cities/metro areas, and those are Reno/Sparks and Las Vegas/Henderson/NLV. 440 miles apart. Other places on the map are just places on the map, and most are ghost towns. Nevada has more ghost towns than it has towns occupied by living people. It's the land of wide open spaces and that's the way we like it.
