The new range will replace the one next to Tule Springs. The sad part is the guy who has run that range for many years will probably be out of business, as they are asking way more than he can afford to operate the new one (according to one of his employees I spoke to). I'm glad they are moving it away from the park as the noise does get on ones nerves when trying to fish or just enjoy nature, but I hate to see the guy that runs it put out of business. If the new range is just for shotguns there wont be any stray "bullets"; but since it's so large maybe they plan to shoot rifles and pistols there too. It should be big enough that the noise will be a long way from any homes. But, it has been well publicised since the announcement by Harry Reid that they had set aside the land. Now if they would only protect the wash too.
