I'm a young 24 year old and work from home, and am contemplating moving to Vegas because of the ridiculously cheap and beautiful apartments with such amazing views. I'd really enjoy living on the strip since I thoroughly enjoy that party 24/7 atmosphere.

I see there are lots of really beautiful apartments on the strip, but which part of the strip is the most walkable (or able to be longboarded)? While I do have a car, I enjoy the idea of walking to get food when I am hungry. Unfortunately the strip is very big and I am unsure which part has the highest concentration of (cheap) restaurants.

there are NO cheap restaurants anywhere on the StRiP. Neither are there cheap apts on the strip. $1500 is about right for an apt!-furnished.

I get the attraction. BUT....before deciding you want to live in adult Disneyland, you might be better off giving it a trial run first. Consider renting a condotel space for a couple of months before you commit to living "on the Strip." The amenities that make the Strip a great place to vacation are not the same amenities that are desirable for every day living. For example, every Strip resort has convenient dry cleaning and laundry services. Nobody in their right mind, however, would pay hotel dry cleaning prices when they can go to a local cleaner. How about buying groceries? For most people, they seek a store that is close, has variety of foods, and reasonable prices. From the Strip apartments, your options are limited.

As for restaurants, the ones on the Strip are catering to the tourists. These businesses no longer exist merely to attract gamblers. They are competing to be a tourists primary destination. That means the restaurants are no longer "cheap." Aside from the highest end dining experiences, you can almost always find better, cheaper dining off the Strip.

As for parts of the Strip that are most "walkable" that will be the center of the Strip: Between Spring Mountain and Tropicana. But here's the thing about being in the center of the Strip and the most walkable area; it's the most desirable for business, and therefore the most expensive for business. So....not too many "cheap" places in that part of the Strip. If you want cheap, you need to go to the cheaper parts of the Strip....mostly at the north end (at least for now), but that part is much less "walkable".

Las Vegas is a fantastic place to live. It has so many neighborhoods with beautiful places and sometimes not so beautiful but very cheap places to live. Come explore and learn about the options. The 24/7 party life will be here no matter where you live in the area. And oh by the way, most who decide to live here fore the 24/7 party don't seem to last long here. It's a dangerous town for them.

When I say cheap I mean relative to other major cities of those similar style apartments. Most of those high rise $1300-$1500 beautiful apartments on the strip would cost 1.5-2x that price in normal cities, and about 3x that price in popular cities. So for what you're getting, it's pretty cheap compared to the rest of the US.

Well, one of the perks of vegas is that it is very easy to find short-term rentals, so that is definitely good advice.

When I say cheap I mostly mean fast food... Taco Bell, McDonalds, Chipotle, Pizza by the Slice, etc. I'm sure it might be a little bit more expensive but as long as I'm not dropping $30 for a meal every night, I don't have many qualms.

I actually don't even really go out and "party" much, I'm just a sucker for having bright lights and sights outside my window. It provides me a certain calm when working.

Most of the Strip properties have a food court, and most food courts have fast food options.

If you want GOOD cheap food, you will have to go off the strip. There are plenty of good options from Asian strip malls on Spring Mountain to locals casino/hotels.

Just move in to the Meridian, you will be right at home with the young professionals, including strippers and hookers

There is a bunch of cheap restaurants next door, including chipotle, and the strip is about a 15 min walk away

Where do the hipsters live? He could be with all the non-conformists that dress and think identically.

i'd like to see what kind of furnished place you can get ON THE STRIP for 1500. Heck, even Siegel Suites is probably 800ish..and thats if you want to live in an area that you can get killed in
