I can't believe how bad Vegas has been recently. When I visited back in November, my grandparents told me all the crimes that have been occurring in their area (around Pebble road). Is there anything going on to quell the violence?

All these homocides within a very small time frame is starting to become quite worrisome.. is there any sense of concern within the neighborhoods or cities? I can't really gauge anything from news articles.

Metro had 123 homicides last year...a little over two a week. That was the best since 2000.

The present trend is about what it was last year.

There is no rise in homicide. Just a little more attention driven by the high school student mostly.

I would bury the intruder in my back yard and tell no one. It's not like anyone knows he is there. It's not like he told mommy where he was going that night. Just bury him and go on with your life. Tell the cops and you will subject yourself to paying for Lawyers to defend yourself, countless hours being questioned, TV camaras outside your home all day and night.

Nope....I will just shoot him, drag him outside, bury him deep and tell no one. And I will sleep real well.
You can kill the intruder (and anyone else for that matter). The District Attorney’s office won’t go after you. They’re too busy charging people who own pets with unlawful possession of vicious animals.

Crime rates are well below the levels of the mid 90s.

So in fact crime is well down over the last 10 years.

It is up this year and in certain categories that have not been well explained.

But the long term trend has been down.
