At least Cox only changed names once. They were Prime Cable a very long time ago.

The reviews I read weren't all that good, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Worst case, I'm out $20. I have one friend who uses it and said it's been greatly improved. We'll see.

Cox is a privately held corporation, of course, and the family that owns it is among the nation's wealthiest. Because Cox isn't a publicly traded corporation, you can't invest in it directly. But you can invest in proxies as a hedge against rising cable bills. For example, see the following chart showing the stock prices over the past 10 years of several publicly traded cable & satelite companies, and the total US market for comparison.

A long time ago I invested in Comcast & Charter just to hedge against rising cable/internet bills. It has worked out in my favor. As always, YMMV.

Sling is pretty good for 20 bucks. With Cox internet, I never had a problem with issues or buffering etc. However, I dont watch much tv and watch most sports at the sports book or local bar so I got rid of it

We have been using Sling for over a year, and we like it quite a bit. If you are a T-Mobile customer, there is a promo where you can get the basic service for $14 per month.
