Probably because there isn't any revenue from parking yet, only the costs

The costs to put in the parking infrastructure were very likely capitalized (spread over a number of years.) What you see in the earnings are operating revenue vs operating costs. Also, they've been collecting parking fees for the entire quarter. That income would show up in the latest financials.

So what your saying is false.

Likely? Sounds like you don't really know for sure

Locals weren't getting charged Q4 2016, and when exactly did the parking fees go live for ALL MGM properties???

I think it's wise of them not to charge locals, but time will tell

So that leaves Venetian/Palazzo, Tropicana, and Miracle Mile Shops on the strip proper for free parking?

As soon as 1 started charging, the others had to follow. They had no choice. Otherwise the free lots would always be full and people staying there could not find a place to park while the paid parking would always be empty. And they don't care at all about locals, it's all about the tourists and if they are from a large city, they expect to pay to park.

There's no down side for the casino hotels at all. They make more money. There is a huge downside for the people who worked valet at Strip properties. That's gone from a great job to just minimum wage grunt work. I feel very sorry for them. I am sure they are having a very hard time learning to live on zip nada for wages after making a lot more than that for years.

While annoying, it's not a big deal.

I just got the MGM credit card and I will park in whichever of their lots is closest to my destination.
