OKAY, you experts....here's another home question;

I am still stuck on deciding in which area I want to buy a house.

I am wondering about the "horses allowed" properties. Are they limited to horses, or can there be other pets such as chicken, goats, llamas or whatever?

That is my neck of the woods. In general you can get away with most anything reasonable. Old neighbors had a couple of Cheetahs. Used a secondary scientific name to claim they were simply big house cats. The male had a 6 inch jaw.

There are limits but reasonable ones. In fact I would not keep a horse on a 1/2 acre though it is legal. You need an acre for horses.

Stay out of the cities. They are close to impossible. But the County in general is permissive. Don't get too many of any one thing...and don't annoy the neighbors...they will get you.

Stick to RE or RA zoning. Anything smaller and they will turn you in for the chickens.

Have fun.

Zoning - RE Rural Estates - 2 per acre.
RA Rural Agriculture 1 per 2 acres.

I think you'd be fine with those little guys.

But yeah, there's lots of horse-property up in the northwest area.

I figured I could call these guys "large house cats", because they eat cat food!

Seriously, I don't think I'll be getting 2 acres. It was a nice country dream for a while.

You won't find any of those around here. I had ringtail cats get into my food while camping up near Caliente once though.
