Will be in town this upcoming weekend and hoping someone can recommend a good Italian restaurant on or near the strip. A friend recommended Carbone in Aria but prices seem steep. Ave dish starts at $61. So far we have reso's at Maggiano's which we've done before and find to be decent quality. Can someone recommend another reasonably priced option ($100 or under for a couple not incl alcohol)?

Thanks. Do you recommend Buddy V's over B&B Ristorante in venetian?

It's been a while since my last time in Las Vegas (used to do CES shows) - but whenever I was there I would eat at The Bootlegger Ristorante. It appears it has relocated to South Strip at 7700 S Las Vegas Blvd. Obviously time can change staff and service but I discovered it one year and made point of eating there each time I returned it was such a good dining experience. I could gorge myself as one top on around $30-40

Definitely head south a couple miles to Bootlegger's for a bit of old-school Vegas. Great food and won't break the bank.

Not on the strip, but worth the drive!

Carmine's in Caesar's is good and family style. Heard good things about Giada's too. Sometimes you can find a Groupon online for Giada's.

My favorites though are Bella Vita in The District at Green Valley and my absolute favorite is Bottiglia in the same area/Green Valley Ranch but inside the main big building where the movie theater is but upstairs past the casino.

To save money at any place find out when their happy hour is or check Groupon and Living Social. Sometimes just google the name of the place and the word Coupon and see what comes up in the random search generator. Also possibly sign up for the properties card to get discounts and points on buffets, shows, rooms, ect.

Second the motion for Bootleggers. The owner was a singer who became the Lt. Gov. of the State of NV. I think her whole family has something to do with it. Been one of Las Vegas best for decades.
