I had a really, really good time down there. No don't get me wrong, I always have a great time in Vegas, but that towns getting too greedy.

We rolled into Laughlin, pulled right into the casinos, didn't have much trouble parking at all. And this was on Friday, in a sold out town. No parking fees, no resort fees, free WiFi, and we only waited in line for the buffet for about five minutes. This was at the Aquarius, a mid-tier buffet similar to Mandalay.

The casino was busy but we had no trouble finding slots or table games. The pool was quite packed.

The river, boats, and Jet Ski Rentals are awesome. All directly adjacent to the hotels.

It was a really laid-back, non-pretentious vibe. Shopping is virtually non-existent, but who cares. Food selection is plenty suitable for an average weekend.

Laughlin ftw!

The black river flies are terrible walking along the river front. Just for that, we're not going back ever during warmer days.

Laughlin is fun, I agree. The Riverside gets really good shows to see. Love the river. Love the little motels where you walk out of your door onto the beach. The boats and jet skis.

Haven't been to Laughlin in years. Do they still have the pontoon shuttles between the casinos?

IMO can't compare the two. Several years ago on a trip to Vegas, my wife, daughter and I took a day trip to Laughlin. It's a sleepy casino town as compared to Vegas. Not the glitz & glamour, but just a Nevada town with casinos. The fun part was cutting across Christmas Tree Rd on the way to Laughlin in the FX35 rental. Nice mountain road, and the bush with ornaments on it was cool.

It could be called a poor man's Vegas, OR for others, just different. With an equal amount of money I might choose Laughlin as it's smaller and more laid-back.

I would NOT want to live there or in BHC. I think the people there are strange.
