I never thought of Boulder City as a tourist draw itself (as opposed to the dam.) Is there anything in town worth driving out there for.

The bypass going around Boulder City would have already been a done deal, except when you remember how much they complained and begged the state Transportation authorities NOT to bypass them. So the state bowed to their wishes and kept the Highway 93 thoroughfare through the middle of town like they had asked. Then they complained again that traffic coming over the bridge from Arizona was horrific and blocking their streets and making life hard for them. So, the state essentially threw their hands up in the air (can you blame them?) and pushed ahead with the bypass.

I don't feel sorry for Boulder City at all. They are like the petulant little sister who gets spoiled and refuses to grow up and accept reality, but expects everyone to coddle her.

No, it's only interesting if you live in Vegas since such communities with buildings over 30 years old don't exist much. Oh yeah and the lack of gaming, which would be normal anywhere else.
