We are looking for a tech company when we need help with computers at work. Ideally one that can dial in remotely and fix most things over the phone but also does service calls if needed. 24 hour support would be great if available.

Our current company has become unreliable and charges $125.00 per hour. Recently we purchased a $900.00 desktop through them and were charged another $750.00 when they came out to install it. That's too much.

Appreciate your input.

LOL at $750 to install. Wish I could help. I hate ripoff computer companies.

Compudoc (702) 871-1881 I don't need all the services you do so don't know if they provide them.

Been using them a long time. In fact so long sometimes they tell my husband how to fix something and they don't charge us.

Very fair on new computers and pricing. And uses the recent upgrades, Not old version of stuff in my new machine. Which is a trick some build to suit computer places use here.

Six hours to install or did they send more than one tech and charge the rate for both?

Sounds like a great company to dump. When I had my consulting company I took lots of clients away from the big guys who ripped off everyone.

$700 seems excessive to install a computer, but depends on exactly what was done. Obviously if it's just plugging cables in, that's extremely excessive. Now if it takes hours of installing and patching specialized line of business software, installing network drops, etc. then perhaps it's in spec. I have users with systems that will take a full day to get re-installed.

$75-$125/hour is going rate for "hometown PC repair" type guy, which is fine for some businesses. If they need Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, site to site VPN, extensive network security/firewall, etc. then $150-175/hr is more in spec.
