OP, check out Tripadvisor or Yelp for the exact same unimaginative recommendations on here. Or you could just search the forums to find the same exact question has been asked and answered a billion times

Good luck at the Casin-yo

you should go back and add some more information to your question. specifically like what interests you and your wife have, how old you are, your hobbies and what you find exciting and boring, etc, etc.

there are infinite things to do here so with some more background, you will get better responses instead of generic activities that could potentially waste an entire day.

You are right! But I am a simply tourist that would be in Las Legas two or three days and so as all people I would to visit the things more important.
If you would come in Italy for to visit Rome I would tell you to visit: The Colosseo, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Arco ci Trionfo, Piazza San Pietro e Città del Vaticano.

Already seen those things paisano, plus a lot more. Amalfi coast is my favorite.

There are plenty of things to do on the Las Vegas strip, among the most popular seems to be the Fountains at Bellagio. There are also lots of things to see inside the casinos, both Wynn and Bellagio have lots of expensive and diverse art. Visiting "old Vegas" aka downtown is a must.

One thing I did when I first came here was walk most of the strip and walked into a handful of casinos. They are a spectacle in themselves. There is trevi fountain clone inside of Caesar's palace among other Roman knockoffs. I suggest you check out that casino to have a bit of a laugh.

I also went into CVS and Walgreens to buy playing cards from all the different casinos. They make a good gift.

Since you have so little time, I think you need to find things that won't take up too much of your time.
