I am moving into a condo this week, I'm allowed to get the locks changed. Any recommendations on good locksmiths in this town who don't overcharge?

Not sure but Amazon has home services that offer this I think. Post if you find a good locksmith/handyman!

I have used this guy a half dozen times over the last 10 years. I keep his card because he behaves reasonably. And he is good technically. He would have a fine career as a burglar if not on the honest end.

Mr Rekey. Used them for my rentals. They will rekey 5 or 6 locks and give you 4 keys. $99. They also will install longer screws in the frame for the deadbolt.

These companies are only as good as the specific guy that comes out. PM me if you want his name. I had another large local locksmith company do some work and I wasn't very happy with their work. Poor quality copies that I paid too much for.

If the Condo association allows it you might consider buying better locks at the same time. Would be a good time to upgrade. KwikSet is the builder basic model for the most part. Schlage has some of the better locks out there. Consider a 1" throw deadbolt if you don't already have one. Also buy the locks yourself in advance on Amazon or Homedepot etc. to save money.

Just a thought anyway.
