Hello all! New here to Vegas. I am on W. Flamingo and Buffalo. Do I say that or Spring Valley ?
I did not like the mania typically, on the strip. May be quiet for a while......If anybody feels like mentioning places near me? Great. Ideally not on strip *unless* it is situated where you do not have to park in a structure that takes 20 minutes to get to the hotel restaurant. I like Southern homey. Soul food. Average priced steak house. Vegetarian or Vegan. I do eat meat once in a while too! But prefer sides due to stomach. From hole in the wall like Roberto's (Mexican) to $22ish before tax & tip for one. Thanks. Yes, I could google the dozens y'all have mentioned but that would take a long time to map out. I am right brain
Grateful.

Komex and the fish and chips place next to it. They're both at the intersection in your subject line.

For vegan, try Violette's Vegan in the plaza on the corner of DI and Durango. If you like Italian, try Nora's on Flamingo just east of Jones. For Greek, try Meraki just south of Tropicana on the east side of Rainbow. Also +1 for Komex. For Indian (easy to find vegan options) try Mint Indian Bistro on the east side of Durango just south of Flamingo.

Plenty of good eating options in your 'hood. The above are some of my favorites.

Thank you all so much. And I also thank the moderators for allowing this question. The original Vegas restaurant thread I got the idea that maybe over half were in Henderson or just not within 5 miles of me. Plus I didn't see any Southern or Homey American. We went to try Virgils b/c I know it from NYC but the parking structure made me never want to return to the strip. I know parking was a breeze at the Rio. Some of these hotels are a no go. And if you are new here you notice on strip rarely a u turn available. It seems they try to make you stay stuck on it.
