The only way to fit in and not stick out like an obvious tourist is to wear an "I love Las Vegas" t-shirt and matching cap while walking the strip with one of those huge prop containers (eg guitar) filled with the finest bottom of the barrel alcohol all the while yelling at the top of your lungs "VEGAS!!!" whenever you see another local wearing the same style of clothing or carrying a similar kind of beverage

Wear whatever you like. If you came back In December when the rodeo is in town, you'd have to wear the ball cap to look out of place.

But if you want to do the above, that's okay too!

Actually a Stetson and cowboy boots are a standard dress in particular groups in the NW and Pahrump. It is pretty close to the standard dress in rural NV and lots of the smaller bergs. So feel free.
Lots of baseball caps as well both forward and backward. Again feel free.
You will not look out of place...which is pretty close to impossible on the strip.

Grant0331 would probably get tipped if he did that. I should know, I'm a former street performer.
