In my condo complex, you can tell the owners and the investor owned units, owners take care of the place, the others forget it!

Note that new build also generally requires a large expenditure on purchase. Things like landscaping and window treatments can easily cost as much as upgrading a resale..

Perhaps the sweet spot is a resale 3 years or so old. Someone has eaten the builder premium and the initial cost of a new build while the home is still new enough that little else is needed.
Yeah, you are right. Definitely you are paying a premium for a new construction. It would be nice to find a resale within 5 years old in the location that I want. That is definitely one of my options.

There is something with a brand spanking new house isn't there?

"trying out if they can make it here"
How come you are not the first person to say that? Is it that difficult to make it here? So far it seems just like any other city to me. Why would it be hard to make it here? Are you referring to jobs?

My sisters both acquired their homes brand new. Just the thought no one has lived in them is enough for the wait. Whether saving up the money or waiting for construction to finish.

Gambling! It is everywhere, grocery stores, convenience stores, strip malls....it can get you in serious trouble.
