The Chicago Fire won MLS Cup in 1998 in just their first year of existence in Major League Soccer.

So unless Vegas wins the Stanley, Chicago Fire has it

Only makes sense if the NHL had only 12 teams and there was some better league in another part of the world that had players the Knights could sign.

We went to a Golden Knights game after New Year's. It was an amazing experience, great crowd and a really fun time. If anyone hasn't seen them play yet, I encourage you to go.

Regular season does not mean much, all what you need is win enough games to make it to the playoffs and that is where the Golden Knights will exit in the first round. But great regular season team so far. Go Knights.

What is going on with the name? Think I heard there was a lawsuit over it?
Can anyone fill us in on that.

US Army parachute team is named the Golden Knights. But the argument is, no one going to T-mobile arena is shocked when they see a hockey game instead of a parachute team.

The name is currently under dispute at the USPTO with both the US Army and the College of St. Rose asking for a reversal of the trademark for the LV hockey team. Both hold trademarks for the name Golden Knights.

Yes, but St Rose doesn't have a hockey team, and the US Army hockey team is the Black Knights, which would seems to favor VGK

I grew up in Buffalo where hockey is a religion and the Golden Knights game I attended was far and away the best atmosphere I've ever experienced for a hockey game.
